The Nepean Division of General Practice supports its GP members through providing a whole of practice service for the benefit of the health and wellbeing of the community.

Applying good governance principles, the Board sets the policy and direction of the Division. In addition there is close co-operation with adjacent Divisions in the Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury areas, as well as a growing working relationship with the Wentworth Area Health Service.

Taking cognizance of the the Divisions Review and Government directions, the Division's Strategic Plan looks forward to possibilities within the context of the "Balanced Scorecard" approach. The population growth, with particular health needs of the youth and aged within the community is a major thrust of our programs.

Within the context of the changing face of the Division, in raising quality standards with pro-active sourcing of additional funding, the Division is meeting the challenge placed by Government to maximise DoHA funding by providing a measurable quality service. The Division also recognises the changes within the Area Health Service and its impact and expectations on the Division.
