How being physically active can help you lose weight and gain energy

Having a physically active lifestyle plays an important part in maintaining overall health and wellbeing, especially for people trying to lose weight and increase their energy levels.

When you have a physically active lifestyle you burn fat on your body and this decrease of fat combined with being physically active helps people gain energy. Being active every day also helps reduce your risk of developing chronic illnesses like type 2 diabetes, heart disease and strokes.

If the thought of exercising makes you nervous, don’t worry, to turn your health around you only need to aim to do 30 minutes every day which can include everyday activities. Walking for 30 minutes a day is one of the best and easiest ways to lose weight.

Every day activities can include doing some gardening instead of watching TV, walking up the stairs instead of taking the lift, walking to the local shops or newsagent for your paper and milk, and walking at golf instead of using a buggy.

Remember you don’t have to do it alone, doing the 30 minutes a day with a friend or partner can not only benefit your physical health but mental wellbeing as well.
