Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and well-being
Indigenous Health Resources:
The Lifescripts resources have been adapted for use with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients. The adapted resources include the following items:
- Healthy Lifestyle Action Plan: one script that covers all five risk factors - smoking, alcohol misuse, poor nutrition, physical inactivity and unhealthy weight;
- Action Plans: one script for each risk factor; and
- 5As Flipchart: The flipchart has been designed for use by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers, GPs and practice nurses for use during lifestyle risk factor consultations. It incorporates the 'stages of change' concept and covers all five risk factors:
- smoking
- poor nutrition
- alcohol misuse
- physical inactivity
- unhealthy weight
